Ford F-150 Raptor
There’s a twin-turbo Ecoboost V6 engine. A 10-speed transmission. Advanced LED lighting. And a high-strength, military-grade, aluminum-alloy body to help save more than 500 pounds of weight for improved performance. The exact power specs aren’t known yet, but Ford says it certainly will deliver more horsepower and torque than the current Raptor’s 411-horsepower, 434-lb.-ft. 6.2-liter V8.
Also noteworthy is the 2017 model being six inches wider than the standard model. There’s new, larger FOX Racing Shox, a Torsen differential up front, and the kicker, a four-wheel-drive system with Terrain Management settings for everything from normal driving to Baja mode. Prepare your wallets for fall 2016.
